Harbour Town Shopping Centre — Reading Cinemas Chiller Plant

QEG was engaged to design and construct the replacement of two end-of-life centrifugal chillers and associated chilled and condenser water pumps that serve the Reading Cinemas tenancy at Harbour Town Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast. Working to a 23-week program, we provided full design verification, project management, prefabrication of chiller-side pipework and pump skids, and a tightly choreographed weekend changeover sequence — chiller system 1 was demolished and reinstalled in weeks 19–20, followed by chiller system 2 in weeks 21–22, with no impact to cinema operations. Commissioning, twelve months defects liability and monthly maintenance were included.
