Mungari Gold Mine, Mill Cooling Water Chiller Package
Design, supply and prefabrication of an 831kW seal water chiller skid package for the Mungari 4.2 Process Plant Expansion Project

Project story
QEG was engaged by GR Engineering Services (GRES) to design, supply and prefabricate a complete chiller skid package for Evolution Mining's Mungari Gold Mine 4.2 Process Plant Expansion near Kalgoorlie, WA. The scope comprised a single 831kW Midea air-cooled screw chiller with indirect free cooling, a prefabricated pump and heat exchanger skid with duty/standby primary and secondary chilled water pumps, a 2,500-litre buffer tank, BMS controls with BACnet interface, and full mechanical and electrical engineering. The skid was prefabricated offsite in Melbourne, shipped to Perth, and transported to the remote mine site for installation and commissioning.
