Replacement of 300 kW Carrier air-cooled chiller with new 311 kW Midea air-cooled scroll chiller, including new chilled water pump, buffer tank, expansion tank, and associated pipework modifications

QEG was engaged by the Owners Corporation of 172 William Street (Quest on William serviced apartments) to complete a like-for-like replacement of the end-of-life 300 kW Carrier rooftop chiller serving the base building chilled water air conditioning system. QEG provided full design and construct services including site inspections, detailed engineering design by professional mechanical engineers, workshop and construction drawings, procurement of a new 311 kW Midea air-cooled scroll chiller, chilled water pump, 1000-litre buffer tank, expansion tank, RPZ valve, and chemical dosing pot. Works included removal and disposal of the redundant equipment via crane, all pipework modifications, insulation and sheathing, electrical and control reconnection, commissioning, and handover with a comprehensive O&M manual. A 12-month preventative maintenance programme and warranty were included.
